Yes, I have translated musicals into Latin. And yes, I do have a life (sort of). But the reasons for me doing this are:
a) I enjoy Latin translation.
b) I adore musicals (specifically the ones showcased here on my website)
c) I like working on my website -- that includes coming up with as many interesting things as possible to add to it
d) I have a lot of spare time. At least, I did at the time of this page's creation...
No, I didn't translate the entire libretto(es). Just the songs,
character names (when possible), and the synopses.
Now. For those of you ignorant of Latin... you might want to leave, as the English, for all intents and purposes, ends here.
Oh, and there are a few places where I was unable to come up with a
translation for certain words/phrases :-\
