About Me

So you've decided that you want to know about me. I updated this mess 6/02/03.

What do people call me?
Online, I commonly use the aliases "Mme Javert" "Lady Anne" or "KeiriaStar." My real name is Jenn. Occasionally, people call me crazy. :)

What do people see when they look at me?
I'm female, 5'4" (1.6m in metric), brown hair, blue eyes. Acne that won't go away. Frizzy hair. Thick ol' glasses, yes, even with those fancy lenses, the polyurethanes that makes thick lenses half their thickness. I have bad eyes.

What kind of family do I have?
I have two parents, who are divorced. I have two step-parents. I have three younger brothers, two younger step-brothers, and one younger half-sister. I also have the usual complement of aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins.

What about religion/spirituality?
Yes, I am a spiritual person. I am a polytheistic pagan. I believe that The Divine Entities began the forces that set the Universe in motion. Thus, I believe that the Universe was created, but also that evolution exists. Being an astronomer, I am fascinated about the events that started the Universe. But I truly believe that all those energies that caused the Big Bang were set in motion by The Divine Entities. I am also a strong believer in Karma.

Maybe for the same reason I don't get into female singers... wish I knew why...)

I also love to write, to read, to study the sky, to study other stuff, to hang out with my friends, to cross stitch, and to be a smart-arse. I like to eat too. hehe.

And my favorite pair of jeans, which is comfortable and exactly the right length and starting to wear out a bit. Oh, and I can't forget my Colorado Avalanche jersey... and if you don't know what these look like, many of them will be visible on my senior pics (the only exception is the les mis shirt)

PLACES: The Outer Banks of North Carolina. Toronto. New York City, of course ;-). I am so a city girl.

SPORTS TEAM: The Colorado Avalanche. As an addendum... I think it's safe to add that my favorite sport is ice hockey. Gotta love the NHL.

PLAYER ON ABOVE TEAM: #23 Milan Hejduk is my favorite hockey player. These things tend to change, but Hejduk's been my boy for a good while now. ;)

QUOTES: See my quotes page.

RANDOM STUFF:

Student Status
About to graduate from high school. I'm heading off to the University of Pittsburgh in August, to major in astronomy and minor in foreign languages. I am well-rounded, aren't I? *g* I'm planning to eventually attain a Ph.D in astrophysics, possibly from Princeton so I can study under Dr. Peebles.

How 'bout them personality quizzes pervading the Web...?
I took a whole lot of personality tests. They used to be here, but there are so danged many of them that I gave them their own page. Click here to see them.

My astrological sign:
I am a Cancer/Leo cusp. Someone on one of the Yahoo! Groups that I subscribe to kindly ran my charts through a program on his computer and told me that I was a true honest-to-goodness cusp, straddling the fence perfectly, so to speak. I was born at 0 degrees of Leo, exactly the time when the sun left Cancer to enter Leo. My personality mostly reflects that. Check out my natal chart explanation for more.
